Good afternoon Groner families, students and staff,

It is with a great deal of mixed emotions that I write to you today to let you know that I will be leaving Groner Elementary School at the end of this school year to become the principal at Lincoln Street Elementary School. I know that as an educator I am called to serve and students are at the heart of everything I do. This opportunity for me to lead Lincoln Street allows me a chance to support a school that is both a Title I elementary school and has a dual language program in Spanish and English. Serving bilingual students, many of whom are learning English as a second language is a passion for me, and Lincoln Street is a community that is similar to where I started my career as an educator.   

It is never easy to leave a school community, especially one as tight knit as Groner, and I feel lucky to have been a part of it. It has been a privilege to be your principal, and I feel honored to have had the opportunity to lead this school and get to know all of your children. I feel like we have been able to accomplish great things together over the past four years, and the staff, students, and families have become like a second family to me. 

Our Human Resources department will be reaching out separately via email with information about virtual feedback sessions on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, for staff at 2:30-3:15 pm and families at 6:30-7:15 pm where you can share your thoughts on the qualifications and attributes you’d like to see in your next principal. If you are unable to attend, please complete the input form that will be shared in that email.

Thank you so much for welcoming me and allowing me to learn and grow with you and your students these past four years. I have truly enjoyed my time here at Groner and will miss you all.

Asunto: Anuncio de la directora de la Escuela Primaria Groner

Buenas tardes estimadas familias, estudiantes y miembros del personal de Groner:

Con muchas emociones encontradas les escribo el día de hoy para informarles que dejaré la Escuela Primaria Groner al final de este año escolar para convertirme en directora de la Escuela Primaria Lincoln Street. Sé que como educadora estoy llamada a servir y los estudiantes son la base de todo lo que hago. Esta oportunidad de dirigir Lincoln Street me permite apoyar a una escuela de Título I y que cuenta con un Programa de Lenguaje Dual en español e inglés. Servir a estudiantes bilingües, muchos de los cuales están aprendiendo inglés como segundo idioma, es una gran motivación para mí, y Lincoln Street es una comunidad similar a donde comencé mi carrera profesional como educadora.   

Nunca es fácil dejar una comunidad escolar, especialmente una tan unida como Groner, y me siento afortunada de haber sido parte de ella. Ha sido un privilegio ser su directora y me siento honrada de haber tenido la oportunidad de dirigir esta escuela y conocer a todos sus estudiantes. Siento que hemos podido lograr grandes cosas juntos durante los últimos cuatro años; los miembros del personal, los estudiantes y las familias se han convertido en una segunda familia para mí. 

Nuestro Departamento de Recursos Humanos se comunicará con ustedes por correo electrónico para proporcionarles información sobre las sesiones virtuales de comentarios, las cuales se llevarán a cabo el martes, 29 de abril de 2025. La sesión para los miembros del personal será de 2:30 p.m. a 3:15 p.m. y la sesión para las familias será de 6:30 p.m. a 7:15 p.m. Durante estas sesiones podrán compartir sus opiniones sobre las cualidades y atributos que les gustaría ver en su próximo director. Si no les es posible asistir, por favor completen el formulario de sugerencias que se compartirá en ese correo electrónico.

Muchas gracias por hacerme sentir bienvenida y permitirme aprender y crecer junto con ustedes y sus estudiantes durante estos últimos cuatro años. Realmente disfruté mi estadía aquí en Groner y los extrañaré a todos.
